RECIPROCATING PUMPS

Product Information
Reciprocating Pumps are based on the principle of Pressure Intensifiers. The pump consists of two pistons of different diameters yoked together. Thus there are two pressure chambers of different cross-sectional area. Owing to the different cross-sectional areas of the two pistons, the hydraulic pressures can be increased to various ratios. The unit is sometimes also referred as Boosters.

Operating Instructions :
The starting & stopping of the pump is through a 3/2 Slide Valve. The output hydraulic pressure can be varied with the help of a Air Pressure Regulator, forming a part of the pump :eg :
2kg/cm2(Min.Pr.)  X 20 (ratio) X 15(P.S.I.) = 600 P.S.I.

The minimum operating air pressure is 2 kg/cm2 in all three models.
The maximum operating air pressure is 7 kg/cm2 in all three models.
The pump automatically stops when the desired output pressure is reached.
The pump automatically starts to compensate if there is leakage in the system
The isometric drawing encl. shows the fitment of FRL/Slide Valve/NRV/Hoses/Suction Strainer etc. to the pump to assist while assembling

Applications :

  • Replacement of hydraulic Hand pumps

  • The pumps can be used for pressure testing of valves

  • Pumping of liquid having high viscosity & corrosive in nature

  • Since compressed air is used as main source of supply, these units become practical necessity in Inflammable & Hazardous applications

  • When used with clamping cylinders, they provide a powerful grip to jobs under machining on Milling/Drilling/CNC machines etc.

  • These pumps can be used in place of power packs to operate small stroke Hydraulic Cylinders.

  • The movement of these hydraulic cylinders can be used for blanking/embossing/riveting/straightening/metal forming etc.

  • The number of applications for Reciprocating Pumps is limited only by the imagination and ingenuity of the fluid power designer.
